All central heating boilers are designed to keep you warm. There are several types of boiler. They all do the same job but heat the water in different ways.

Combination boilers are designed to be wall mounted thus saving valuable space. Hot water is supplied at mains pressure. There is no need for a tank or cylinder saving on more space. You only heat the water when you want it, so reducing energy bills.

Traditional boilers tend to be smaller than Combination boilers, but they need a storage cylinder located elsewhere. An unvented cylinder is the ideal partner for the system boiler.

Condensing boilers are the most energy efficient Central Heating boilers on the market today. They achieve this high level of efficiency by removing the heat from the fuel it is burning and also cooling the products of combustion, which are normally wasted up the flue, so much so that the water vapour in them turns into liquid.

This happens at around 55°C. For a boiler to cool the flue products this much, it has to have a larger, more efficient heat exchanger
than traditional boilers.
